LAREDO, TX, May 27, 2025 – Marcus & Millichap (NYSE: MMI), a leading commercial real estate brokerage firm specializing in investment sales, financing, research, and advisory services, today announced the sale of the Americas Best Value Inn Laredo, a 150-room hotel property in Laredo, Texas.
Alexander J. Curry, an associate of investments in Marcus & Millichap’s Austin office, exclusively marketed the asset on behalf of the seller and also procured the buyer. Supporting brokers on the transaction included Chris Gomes, executive managing director of investments in the Dallas/Houston offices, and Allan Miller, senior managing director of investments in the Austin/San Antonio offices. As part of the buyer’s repositioning strategy, 40 rooms in one of the buildings are planned to be brought online, creating immediate revenue-generating potential. This strategic addition is expected to enhance operating performance and expand the property’s income base shortly after acquisition.
The buyer, a private investor based in the Midwest, was uniquely positioned to execute on the value-add opportunity. Acquired at a favorable cost basis, the hotel offers substantial upside given its proximity to the Port of Laredo—the largest inland port in the world. The offering garnered significant attention, including interest from international buyers pursuing logistics-adjacent hospitality assets in key Texas markets.

The Americas Best Value Inn Laredo is a two-story hotel with 150 rooms across three buildings, situated just off Interstate 35. The property features a breakfast area, outdoor pool, picnic area, outdoor grill, business center, and two meeting rooms totaling 3,030 square feet.
